What we do

Our Educational Initiatives

Four connected initiatives that take a student from first block of code to career-relevant skills — and give their teacher the support to get them there.

STEM Bridges is organized around initiatives rather than one-off workshops. Each initiative is designed to stand alone for a school that needs only one, and to connect into a full pathway for a district ready to build a program.

Ages 5–18

Student program pathways

Five sequenced pathways spanning block-based coding, Python, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence — each with bilingual materials and project-based assessment.

K–12 teachers

Educator professional development

Self-paced modules and live workshops that prepare classroom teachers to deliver computer science content without a prior CS background.

Open access

Bilingual resource library

Activity sheets, rubrics, slide decks, and family guides published in English and Spanish, free for partner schools to adapt.

Out of school

Community and family engagement

Family coding nights, library partnerships, and take-home unplugged activities that extend learning past the classroom door.

How a partnership works

  1. Discovery

We meet with school or district leadership to understand current staffing, devices, bell schedule, and the population the program needs to serve.

  2. Program selection

Together we select the pathway or pathways that fit — a single after-school club, an elective, or an embedded classroom rotation.

  3. Educator preparation

Participating teachers complete the relevant professional development module before the first student session.

  4. Launch and coaching

Programs launch with ongoing coaching check-ins, shared planning materials, and a feedback loop into the curriculum.
